2004 Africa Missions Trip
Dear Faithful Supporters & Friends,
In the 11th chapter of John as Jesus was preparing to raise Lazarus, He said something to Martha that was profound. It seems simple enough but to those of us not satisfied to just say we are Christians, and then go no further, no tasting of the heavenlies, no smelling the fragrances of the unblemished, sinless garments worn by the host of heaven, no seeing the awesome power of God Almighty who yearns to be an active, living part of our lives it is something to ponder.
Oh heaven help us if we are satisfied just straining to see from afar off the things of God that He so desires us to be a part of and to walk with Him as Adam did before the fall…
Jesus said in the 40th verse “did I not say to you if you believe, you will see the Glory of God??
Brothers, Sisters and Friends, we trusted God, we believed Him! We took Him at His Word knowing He had called us to go and join Him there in Africa.
God laid it on your hearts to support us and we went. We agreed together that we would labor and not be tourists. We committed to Pastor Benito at Bethel City Church that we were coming under the direction of the Holy Spirit and would assist Him in whatever He needed. We left Bend, Oregon with no agenda of our own but only to serve as God directed.
Friends, we believed and we saw the Glory of God!
We left a fire in the church at Kisumu that has filled the place to overflowing. The report is, that there is no room for any more people--they need a bigger building! Hundreds of people were evangelized one on one and came to Christ and many are actively involved in cell groups started on their behalf!
Many were healed of dreaded diseases and returned to give God the Glory. Aids, cancer, malaria, heart attack-all who were prayed for were healed by the awesome power of God. PRAISE THE LORD!!!!
Two muslims were converted. Talk about coming out of bondage! Where there used to be hate and bitterness for them--love swept in and His Name is Jesus!
Friends, God honored your commitment and your prayers. The open-air crusades produced many salvations. Many were set free from demonic oppressions and possession and then subsequently received Christ as Lord. No houses cleaned, swept and left empty here-no they were filled with the Holy Spirit and regenerated with the living Christ residing in them!
Oh how can just a "thank-you" from us begin to express our hearts towards you for all your prayers and support?
I pray the Spirit of the living God fill each and every one of you to overflowing with joy and power even as you read this, even as He did us, as you were faithful to pray.
I tell you friends, even the demons were subject to us in the Mighty Name of Jesus, and so shall they be to you as you clothe yourselves with the righteousness of Christ.
Never let “can’t" be a part of your vocabulary. Nothing is impossible with God. Give Him all the Glory and you will see the Glory of God manifested, as Martha saw when Lazarus came out of that grave.
Glory to the King!! The victory is ours!!!
